Analogue featured in Palladium's Case for Crazy Philanthropy

Analogue has been highlighted as a leading example of “crazy philanthropy”: bold, unconventional funding that breaks from traditional institutional constraints.

In The Case for Crazy Philanthropy, the publication argues that modern science funding has become overly bureaucratic, with philanthropy increasingly funneling resources to established universities rather than supporting outsider talent and novel ideas.

Philanthropy can have a much higher impact if it doesn’t just piggyback on existing institutions and ideas. Instead of giving more money to universities that are already sitting on hundreds of billions of dollars in endowments, why not give money to the Analogue Group, which tries to find the next Katalin Karikó, or to Convergent Research, which funds an entirely new type of research organization?
